Todd Snyder Spring 2013

Todd Snyder released his Spring 2013 collection recently in New York fashion week.
The main theme of his collection was a mixture of both the colour scheme, what featured some very delicate sandy tones that were inspired from the Sahara desert, but also a mixture of the American preppy look. This then led onto the name of this collection that he titled 'Saharan Prep'.
Throughout his collection the preppy look is definitely very strong, he often matches blazers and shorts together to create a smart but relaxed look and he links most of the collection together with a smart, almost military like boot.
The collection looks very strong from its colour scheme to the use of materials, most of the line is made of very light, breathable fabric such as cotton and lightweight linen. While lighter materials are used, denim and knitwear does make a feature in the collection. Due to the style it's used in and how it is matched with the colour scheme it fits in with the rest of the collection and it's clear how the title 'Saharan Prep' is perfect for this Spring 2013 collection.
Below are a few highlights from the collection -

September through Instagram

I enjoyed including this little section last month so I've decided to keep on doing it!
I've gathered a selection of photos from my Instagram that have been taken over the month of September, nothing too exciting has happened really! It's mainly consisted of college, flicking through magazines and early morning starts to placements and work.
All in all, a good few weeks.

No more Kanye?

Musician, fashion designer and film director Kanye West featured his past two fashion lines on the catwalk in Paris, however he has withdrawn from this season that he was scheduled to attend next week. Is this a sign that he is stopping fashion design completely or just taking a break, we will have to wait to find out.

Below are some of his previous designs shown in October 2011 as part of his Ready To Wear range for Spring Summer 2012.

Henry Holland SS '13

London Fashion Week for SS 2013 has just ended in London, and I have to say I was quite amazed at a few of the collections.
One of my all time favourite designers is Henry Holland, due to his use of neon colors and bold patterns matched with a unique and interesting cut of clothing, he creates some statement but easily wearable designs that are always a talking point.

Above are two pieces that are my favourite but also represent the collection well, use of bright colour and tactile fabrics have been used to create a contrast amongst his pieces. He used several materials on a range of trousers, blazers, skirts and hats to create a very exciting and energetic Spring Summer 2013 collection.
